Data Confidentiality Commitment

1. Your school's data belongs to your school

We are custodians of your data, never its owners. At any time, your school may request a complete export of its data, and we will provide it in a usable format. If your school ever leaves Bantuzi, we will delete your data on request once your export is delivered.

2. Student and staff data deserves extra care

Much of what BantuziSchool holds concerns minors — enrolment records, grades, attendance, health notes, and fee histories for children who cannot consent for themselves. We treat this category of data with the highest level of care in the suite: it is never used for marketing, never sold, and never shared with any third party, including other schools on the platform. Only the parents, guardians, and authorised staff of your school can see a student's record.

3. Our confidentiality pledge

We do not view, use, or disclose your school's data except as needed to operate and support the service you pay for. We will never sell your data. We will never share it with any third party — and that includes other schools using Bantuzi products. Student records, staff files, and finances are never visible to anyone but your school and the staff it authorises.

4. Access only with your consent

Bantuzi staff do not browse customer data. We access your data only when your school raises a support issue or gives us permission, and only to the extent the issue requires. When the issue is resolved, that access ends.

5. How we protect your data

• Tenant isolation — your school's data is separated from every other school on the platform.
• Encryption in transit — all connections to Bantuzi services are encrypted (TLS).
• Role-based access — teachers see only their classes, parents only their child, admins the full system.
• Encrypted backups — your school's data is backed up securely so it survives hardware failure.

6. Alignment with Zambian law

We process your data consistent with the Data Protection Act, No. 3 of 2021 of Zambia. This commitment supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — it never weakens them. Where this document promises more than the law requires, we hold ourselves to the promise.
